Supplier Relationship Management

We are looking for a SRM solution to streamline the SRM process.
This should improve supplier performance and enable supplier collaboration.

Challenge Details

Roche Global Procurement is looking for a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) solution to automate time-consuming manual processes and thereby streamline and optimize the SRM process. With this, Roche aims to optimize its relation with suppliers to increase quality with insights and new values.

Examples of key functionalities that this SRM solution could deliver:

  1. Segmentation: How can we identify those suppliers that will generate most value?
  2. Performance Management: How can we monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement for our suppliers and for Roche?
  3. Risk Management: How can we measure risk of suppliers when onboarding them in terms of human rights, financial, reputational, child labour, social responsibility. (Please note that part of this is included in the onboarding module, but ongoing checks to assess, measure and manage risk should be possible to be performed in a continuous way with supplier base)
  4. Innovation: How can we enable innovation and ideation processes with our existing as well as potential new suppliers?
  5. Development: How can we address Supplier Performance  challenges and opportunities?
  6. Governance: How can we establish clear governance to manage interactions with our suppliers and monitor progress?
  7. Sustainability: How can we assess the degree of sustainability of suppliers in terms of their emissions and number / type of initiatives for sustainability?

Selection Criteria

  • Software/tool/system: Roche is looking for a (ideally cloud based) software/ a tool/ a system that is user-friendly, not too complex and offers a high degree of automation.
  • Reporting: able to create performance reporting (ideally with historical and predictive information); preferably also allowing governance across parent/child suppliers and be able to conduct segmentation of our suppliers end-to-end. The ability to have predictive reporting (forward looking, not only historical performance) would be a nice-to-have requirement.
  • Integration: able to integrate with myBuy (Smart by GEP), BWH (SAP) and (potentially) with other Roche systems (for reporting purposes)

As part of Roche Global Procurement’s ambition to build the next generation procurement organization, they are in the midst of a transformation journey with an agenda focused on building a future operating model that combines new agile ways of working and true business partnering.

Through this initiative, they want to take their cooperation with tech companies to the next level. This will be accomplished through a structured platform for cooperation and collaboration between the Roche Global Procurement team and technology providers.
